ANYONE seeking respite from the dreich February weather will be heartened by a visit to The Mussel Inn Gallery in Glasgow city centre where a Greece-inspired exhibition of new paintings by Sue Biazotti should lift their spirits.
Matt Johansson at The Mussel Inn Gallery, said: “This exhibition features a series of paintings inspired by the warm Mediterranean light of Greece.
“Water and light have always been themes in Sue’s work and in these new paintings, she contemplates waves on the beach and views over the water to the horizon.”
A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, Biazotti lives and works in Glasgow.
She has exhibited widely in Scotland and the UK. Her work is in private and corporate collections in North America, South America, continental Europe and the UK.
In 2005, she won the Aspect Painting Prize with a painting of her daughter, Gabriella, swimming underwater.
The Sue Biazotti Exhibition opens today (10.02.11) and runs through to Tuesday 5 April.
Located at 157 Hope Street in Glasgow, the award-winning Mussel Inn is renowned for its passion for art and its offering of delicious locally sourced fresh seafood.
