Media release: Kenmore launches WinterWeek+

WINTERWEEK+, a cornucopia of events, activities and accommodation offers aimed at the mid-winter tourist, launches in Kenmore later this month.

Starting on Wednesday 16th February and running until Sunday 27th February it offers visitors to the Kenmore area around 20 different events and activities suitable for individuals and families.

The Scottish Crannog Centre is one of the Kenmore businesses at the hub of WinterWeek+ and as part of the festivities will be opening its doors to the public in winter for the first time ever.

Director, Barrie Andrian, explained: “We’re delighted to be opening in winter this year as part of the WinterWeek+ celebrations.

“Kenmore is perfect for a mid-term or short winter break and with many families and couples flocking to the area during winter, it seems to make sense to open our doors and ensure they see the best of Kenmore while they are here.”

The Scottish Crannog Centre has put together an innovative collection of events which include opportunities for visitors to learn Iron Age skills such as nettlecraft, woodworking, and even a ‘Living the Iron Age’ event which includes cooking, lighting fires and spear throwing.

Other activities include winter boat tours on Loch Tay, chocolate making workshops, food tasting events at the Mains of Taymouth Courtyard, local dining discounts, and accommodation offers at Scotland’s Oldest Inn: The Kenmore Hotel.
