COOKIE, the award-winning bistro in Glasgow’s southside, is launching a series of cooking courses in 2011.
The first is an after-school cooking class for seven-to-ten year-olds running from 3.30pm – 4.45pm on Thursday afternoons.
Cookie co-founder, Domenico Del Priore, said: “Cooking is a skill for life and, from the outset, Cookie has been keen to promote healthy eating in a welcoming atmosphere for all family members.
“Our open kitchen has been designed to enable families – kids as well as parents – to see their dishes prepared and learn about food preparation and nutrition.
“We want to revolutionise our kids’ eating habits and promote a healthier, more varied, diet and our new after-school cooking classes will help us achieve just that.”
£25 gift vouchers entitling children to five weeks of cooking classes are available now at Cookie. For further information, contact Cookie on info@cookiescotland.com
Recently named Glasgow Newcomer of the Year 2010, for breaking the mould of local eating and drinking, Cookie is based at 72 Nithsdale Road, Pollokshields, Glasgow.
