AND we’re off. From Saturday 27 November, beginners and experts alike can enjoy five months of skiing and snowboarding in Les 2 Alpes.
With plenty of fresh snow on a glacier of 3,600m high, why not join us for a press trip in January?
Les 2 Alpes is reporting fantastic snow fall to usher in the opening of the new winter season: 15cm of snow at the foot of the mountain and 125cm on the glacier, at an altitude of 3,200m.
In preparation for the new season, there has been huge investment in the resort. €1million spent on new, modern signposting and €2.7million spent on installing a new chair lift which will take 2,000 people an hour between the ski areas of La Toura and Le Fee.
Among a series of events this December is the first Full Moon Evening on the 23rd. Artificial lights turned off, ski down the glacier in the brilliant light of the moon. From December 22nd, Les 2 Alpes is celebrating Christmas with festivities, parades and Father Christmas.
