TO celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, an Aberdeen man is inviting business owners to join the largest ever global gathering of entrepreneurs for a breakfast to remember.
Kenneth Mackay of Aberdeen-based web design and marketing specialists, Initiative2, is spearheading local efforts to stage the Big Business Breakfast at Aberdeen’s Regus on Berry Street on Friday, November 19th.
The event will give business people the chance to make contact and share ideas with a broad network of their peers.
Kenneth Mackay said: “Today’s small businesses are tomorrow’s multi-nationals and we hope the Big Business Breakfast will give Aberdeen’s entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their talents and business ideas on an international stage.
“This free event is also a big opportunity for local businesses to learn how they can grow online, and even get a free website and start-up advice courtesy of Getting British Business Online.”
Getting British Business Online is a joint initiative by Google, Enterprise UK, BT, e-skills UK and many other partners to help businesses create their first website and help them understand the opportunities offered by the internet.
The project has set a target of helping 100,000 UK businesses get their first website easily and for free by the end of 2010.
