TERRI Harrison, from the Nature Nurture project at Camphill School Aberdeen, is the speaker at a free talk, hosted by Camphill Medical Practice, on Tuesday (October 26).
As project leader, she will explain how Nature Nurture has proven so beneficial as an early intervention for some of the Aberdeen’s most vulnerable children. The aim is to offer therapy for children who may be facing challenges and difficulties at home, at school or in the community.
Illustrated by photographs and video, Terri Harrison will describe how children from the most challenging backgrounds have developed the ‘building blocks of resilience’ including confidence, physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, social skills and creativity.
The Nature Nurture talk takes place at 7.30pm in the Newton Dee Café, on Old Ferry Road, Bieldside, Aberdeen. There is no admission charge.
Camphill Medical Practice, located on the Murtle Campus of Camphill School Aberdeen in Bieldside, provides NHS primary care services to the local community along with the intensive professional care required by the children and adults in six Camphill Aberdeen City and Shire communities in the Aberdeen area.
Camphill Medical Practice is a former winner of the Innovative Practice Award and the Quality Practice Award, both presented by the Royal College of General Practitioners.
