BANG! Productions and the End of the Month Club have collaborated to bring Glasgow audiences a truly unique ‘spooktacular’ Halloween event of The Dunwich Horror screenings and live cabaret entertainment at the Grosvenor cinema and bar on Sunday, October 31, from 7pm to late.
Begins a spokesperson: “In the wake of its highly-successful and sold-out Edinburgh Film Festival debut, audiences are invited to ‘Hear The Fear’ at the Glasgow ‘screenings’ of the audio horror movie, The Dunwich Horror.
“Produced by Bang! Productions/Savalas Sound Studios and faithfully adapted by Colin Edwards, from H.P. Lovecraft’s classic horror masterpiece, this full-length feature (without pictures) is narrated by Scottish radio and television comedy actor, Greg Hemphill (Still Game, Chewin’ the Fat).
“Actors, Gavin Mitchell, Innes Smith, Vivien Taylor, Charlie Ross and Vivien Grahame, join in this special Halloween celebration.”
The spokesperson added: “For the first time ever, the acclaimed End of the Month Club cabaret performance group come blinking out of their city centre basement home (13th Note) and lurch up to the Glasgow’s West End to provide a suitably spooky after-show.
“EOTMC’s 9th Halloween Special is curated of corpse by sample-bass-beat duo, Bo’OOOOO’zilla, and joined by a variety of guest vocalists (including members of the Dunwich Horror cast) to form the Chorus of Doom.
“They will guide audiences through an array of fangtastically performed spooky songs plus competitions, video skratches and projections.
“Host DJ, TJ, is joined by acclaimed mash-up VJ Thriftshop Ex-Hell and the delightful Miss Leggy Pee. It promises to be an electronically enhanced ‘spooktacular’.
