MANSFIELD Traquair, a venue managed exclusively by Edinburgh-based Heritage Portfolio, has won the award for ‘Event Space of the Year’ for small venues at the recent UK-wide Event Awards.
Winning alongside premium London venues, the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum, the discerning caterer scored a double by also being runner-up in the ‘UK Caterer of the Year’ category.
In the prestigious awards scheme which commends excellence throughout the UK, Mansfield Traquair was recognised for its versatility as a venue as well as being Edinburgh’s most unique exclusive use heritage venue.
The historic gem has earned the mantel of ‘Edinburgh’s Sistine Chapel’ and has played host to a variety of stunning and notable events.
Mansfield Traquair is acclaimed for its flexibility, providing space for weddings with marquee support; events such as Sotheby’s Exhibition, where the event space was set up for an exhibition by day and transformed into an elegant VIP dining area by night; and for the recent BBC Question Time broadcast, turning a former church into a TV studio.
