SHEPHERD Chartered Surveyors has secured approximately 6,000 sq ft of open plan office accommodation in Glasgow city centre for security services company, SecuriGroup.
Relocating from its cellular offices at West George Street, SecuriGroup has signed a ten-year flexible lease over the fourth floor office suite with six car parking spaces at the Venlaw Building at 349 Bath Street at an undisclosed rent.
Steve Barnett, partner at Shepherd’s commercial department in Glasgow, said: “At 6,000 sq ft, this agreement represents a sizeable deal in the present market, displaying further welcome evidence of demand for modern open plan office space in the city centre.
“Having outgrown its existing premises, SecuriGroup sought our assistance to help them find premises that more closely met its particular requirements for open plan accommodation.
“We considered both out-of-town and city centre accommodation and, ultimately, the office at 349 Bath Street, providing some 6,000 sq ft of open plan space was exactly what SecuriGroup was seeking.”

The landlord at the Venlaw Building at 349 Bath Street is Credential Holdings.

Shepherd’s handling of the negotiations for the lease of 6,000 sq ft of accommodation on behalf of SecuriGroup follows the recent conclusion of negotiations for the lease of 10,242 sq ft office in Glasgow city centre on behalf of Hudson Global Resources at 130 St Vincent Street, meaning that Shepherd has been directly involved in filling over 16,000 sq ft of office space in Glasgow city centre within recent months.
