SCOTLAND’S new estate agency, Blackie Ballantyne Ltd, has opened a new office in Perth and reported £20 million worth of completed property sales since its launch nine months ago.
Begins a spokesperson: “The Edinburgh-based company says the Perth office – with other centres also being considered – gives it an important and strategic presence in the heart of Scotland that will help them service rural clients.
“Co-directors, Cameron Blackie and Rory Ballantyne, are pleased to have made such a positive start since forming the company following a management buy-out of the DTZ estate agency.
“In addition to the successful property sales since January, the company is now selling at a number of new development sites including Towngate, Dalkeith for Queensberry Properties, Priory Gate, Blackwood for Blackwood Developments and Almondvale Heights, Livingston for Robbon Homes.
“Its letting portfolio has also more than doubled since January and it is providing strategic land advice to land owners and developers with the capacity for over 1,000 residential units.
“Having acted on a number of on and off market estate sales, it currently has clients wanting to buy estates across Scotland.”
Says Blake: “We are very pleased with the progress so far.
“The market is a difficult one and we realised that when we launched.
“But, we have made a bright start with a focus on being flexible and responsive to our clients and capitalising on our experienced team and knowledge of the property market in Scotland, and that seems to be paying dividends.”
Rory Ballantye added: “The Perth office is going to help us build on what’s been achieved so far. We are looking at other towns for offices as well but no firm decisions have been made.
“We want to expand further but the timing will have to be just right.”
Ben Ballantyne has joined the company to head up the new office at 28 York Place, Perth.
“We are pleased the Perth office is open and with the level of inquiries received so far,” said Ben. “We are looking forward to expanding the Blackie Ballantyne brand and business in the Perthshire market.”
