PEEBLES Auction House are preparing a showroom clearance of original paintings, rare limited editions, bronzes and sculptures, furniture, life-size carvings, rare memorabilia and porcelains – all going under the hammer on 19th November 2023.
Included in the sale are:
Lot 41 Guide £13,000 – £25,000
An unique, very large finely-detailed Chinese hand carved soapstone carving of 40 galloping horses. Origin Fujian Province Circa 1980.
Lot 89 Guide £1,300 – £2,000
A rare limited edition of the 1923 PABLO PICASSO painting. The Pipes of Pan, published as a numbered edition of only 60 worldwide plus two ‘Master Printers Proofs’ of which this is number two. Complete with certificate (signed by the Master Printer), framed and mounted and supplied with a replacement valuation for £1,800 (free of charge) along with biographical details on the subject and artist.
Lot 100 Guide £1,200 – £2,000
A stunning framed item of ABBA memorabilia which has incorporated within the large box frame a guitar which bears the authenticated signature of the famous Abba musician and songwriter, Benny Andersson. This item of memorabilia will be supplied with an authentication certificate.
Lot 180 Guide £3,500 – £5,500
An original, high-quality hand carved Chinese Jade Carving of a temple scene with intricate work throughout. Origin Xinjiang circa 1980
On Friday 3rd November, the auction house has three Rolex watches up for auction, including Lot 15 Guide £12,500 – £18,500: a 1960s ROLEX ‘PEPSI’ OYSTER PERPETUAL GMT-MASTER, superlative chronometer officially certified.
An all-original classic with 501B Rolex stamped band, winder etc. Comes with an original box and a copy of the watch register showing ownership by the vendor. The watch is working perfectly, there are some light scratches to the crystal and the bezel.
