HEADING Fife Business Week, the 14th annual Meet the Buyer Event, organised by Fife Council in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, is coming to the Carnegie Conference Centre, Dunfermline, on Thursday, 9 November 2023 from 9am until 12:30pm.
Fife Council’s Meet the Buyer will allow local suppliers to discuss contract, supply chain and sub-contracting opportunities with public and private sector buyers, as well as Fife Council, NHS Fife, the University of St Andrews and many more. The event gives suppliers the chance to learn about requirements for bidding with buyers.
For the first time, the Fife Council Meet the Buyer event will feature a Construction Zone, with a jam-packed line-up of public and private sector construction contractors, including Fife Council Construction Procurement Areas, BAM UK & Ireland, Balfour Beatty, hub East Central Scotland, Kilmac, FES Group, PFH Scotland, and more.
This is your one-stop event to network with key buyers in the sector and learn of the latest supply chain opportunities.
A programme of presentations will be delivered throughout the event, allowing businesses to learn about Fife Council’s new scheme of tenders, as well as its existing/upcoming contract and framework opportunities, Quick Quote/Supplier Finder process and the upcoming Build Fife programme.
Fife Council’s Economic Development Team, and a host of other exhibitors, will be there to discuss business support services.
Businesses will also be able to learn top tendering tips and gain insight into the support available to become “tender ready” for future opportunities by stopping by the Supplier Development Programme stand.
Gillian Cameron, SDP Programme manager, said:
“Following the success of last year’s event, SDP is delighted to be once again hosting this year’s Fife Council Meet the Buyer event.
“The Supplier Development Programme encourages Scottish SMEs and social enterprises to bid for public sector work. Our free services can help you become ‘tender ready’ for the opportunities you will learn about on the day. So be sure to stop by the SDP stand to learn about the free support available to your business.”
“Through our work with our corporate members, we are also delighted to support the Construction zone, which offers businesses and social enterprises important connections to potential supply chain opportunities.
“With hundreds anticipated on the day, this is a must-attend event for every type of business or social enterprise based in Fife and the surrounding region.
“Both Fife Council, the Supplier Development Programme and the many exhibitors look forward to meeting with you on the day.”
