THE pioneering platform, STV Self Service, has been designed by STV Commercial and Devonto to provide businesses with an even more accessible and efficient way of telling their story on STV – which is watched by 81 per cent of Scots every month – and STV Player, one of the UK’s fastest-growing advertiser-funded streaming services.
Businesses will be asked to outline what they want to achieve with their advertising, which geographical area they’d prefer to target, how long the advertising should be active for, and which hit STV shows they’d like their business to appear around.
In real time, STV Self Service will then produce an overall advertising plan, including the number of advert slots and how many consumers it will reach.
Businesses will also have access to a dedicated account manager should they require additional support.
The quick, easy process and the platform’s user-friendly interface means businesses can design an entire advertising plan from any location and at any time of the day or night. The portal has been developed specifically with SMEs in mind, many of which may also be eligible for matched funding through the broadcaster’s successful £20m Growth Fund, which has partnered with Scottish businesses on over 500 deals since launching in 2018.
Danielle Kelly, director of Strategy and Sales Scotland at STV, said: “We’re really excited about the launch of STV Self Service and the opportunity it provides our clients to revolutionise how they advertise. We’ve worked hard in recent years to make it more accessible for our commercial partners to share their stories on STV and this new platform builds on that.
“It’s now easier than ever for businesses to target specific consumers and regions, and with the average amount of minutes watched by STV viewers rising substantially last year, it’s clear that working with us is a sure-fire way of reaching the right people. I’m looking forward to helping to deliver all the bespoke creative campaigns designed first-hand by our clients through STV Self Service.”
