THE Celtic Media Festival, the long-established and prestigious media festival among the Celtic nations and regions, today announced the cancellation of the 2021 in-person event, which was set to be held in Quimper in Brittany, France this coming September.

While the physical event won’t be happening in Quimper, the festival is delighted to announce that the event will go ahead online, and free of charge to delegates for the first time from 7-9 September.

Presented on a specialist platform, specifically built for worldwide events such as Celtic Media Festival – this year’s debut digital festival will host some of the leading names from Celtic media and give attendees the opportunity to network with some of the biggest names and organisations in the industry. For the first time in its history, Celtic Media Festival will be free of charge to all delegates.

Catriona Logan, festival director, says: “While it’s disappointing to not be able to reconnect in person with Celtic Media Festival delegates, we’re so excited to host CMF 2021 online, with our usual mix of informative sessions, networking events, pitching, and of course, Torc Awards for Excellence.

“We look forward to welcoming you all onto our online platform and hope you join us on Facebook Live on the 14th of June for the nominee announcement for 2021.”

Celtic Media Festival 2022 will be held in Quimper.

The 2021 nominees will be announced via Facebook Live on the 14th June, with the International Pitching Forum details to be announced soon. For full information on the festival, please visit:
