A NEWLY-launched flag celebrating the Isle of Skye is to be taken across the Atlantic Ocean, by a rowing team.
Force Genesis, a mixed rowing quad, taking on the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, are ‘flying the flag’ for the Isle of Skye, with the flag emblazoned on the back of the team’s rowing boat as they prepare to journey from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to the finish line in Antigua in 2021.
The flag was unveiled recently, as reported, here, by the BBC.
The flag was taken on by Force Genesis following the success of its first journey, around the Isle of Skye, by another Atlantic rowing team, The Bristol Gulls, in August.
It is believed it will be the first time the flag has been taken across the Atlantic.
