A COUPLE of places are still available on a TV reporter training course being held next week, hosted by the National Union of Journalists (Scotland).
The course is for anyone considering taking up television journalism as a career, either transferring from print or radio… or entering directly.
It looks at various elements of reporting, scripting, voice-over, interviewing, packaging and live reporting.
During the course delegates will carry out an ‘as-live’ interview as well as learning how to make short scripts and produce a package. Those taking part will also deliver a relevant piece to camera and learn about some tricks of the trade as well as getting an insight into the newsroom jargon.
The course is taking place in Edinburgh on October 7 and in Glasgow on October 8, and is being funded by the Scottish Union Learning fund and the Scottish Government.
