REACH Scotland has strengthened its position as one of Scotland’s leading digital news businesses, with a record-breaking performance in May.
New monthly highs were set for unique users, video views and app usage this year across the group’s digital portfolio.
Audiences across the Reach Scotland network are up 28 per cent, year-on-year, hitting 11.83m unique users across the month.
The group’s two metro city websites had a big month, with Glasgow Live up 36 per cent, year-on-year, delivering 1.77m unique users.
Edinburgh Live is still only nine months old but has established itself as a key part of the capital city’s media landscape and enjoyed its best month ever, moving past 1m unique users for the first time.
The Daily Record had a particularly strong month delivering 8.15m unique users, with Scottish news and football the highest traffic drivers.
Football Scotland is rapidly building its audience and doubled its traffic in May.
Business website, Insider, continues to grow and registered its second biggest month since launch.
Editor-in-chief, David Dick, said: “I’m delighted to see all our digital mastheads performing so well in such competitive markets. We have invested heavily in expanding our digital portfolio launching four new digital-only titles over the past three years and they all performing beyond our expectations.
“Glasgow Live is now three years old and has become the dominant news and entertainment site in the city while Edinburgh Live is breaking audience records every month.
“Football Scotland has seen a big spike in audience over the past couple of months and we are really excited about watching our newest title grow over the summer and next season.”
