ALL youth athletes who attended the Via Sponsorship conference are to each receive a £500 commercial sponsorship deal with sports agency, Pinnacle Sports Group.
The London-based sports agency travelled up for the sports sponsorship conference – which concluded yesterday, and was held in Glasgow – to look for new opportunities in Scottish sport.
Directors, James Sheehan and Christian Smith, were so impressed by the youth athletes that Pinnacle Group have agreed to commercially support each attending athlete to help them with their journey to reach their sporting ambitions.
Christian said: “The conference has been fantastic and I have just been inspired by each and every person here.”
Organised by GRM, Via sponsorship is believed to have been Scotland’s first sport sponsorship conference, looking to educate businesses and athletes on the value, importance, processes and power of sponsorship in sport and create a platform for each to connect, communicate and share vital tips to make their careers a success.
The conference featured an array of top-class presentations, case studies, panel discussions and workshops given by experts within the industry. In attendance were international athletes from all sporting disciplines who are set to share their personal experiences of sponsorship gained throughout their sporting careers.
