TRISENT is strengthening its collaboration with Edinburgh Napier University through two student projects supported by the Erasmus Programme.
Two final-year students from Spain are coming to Edinburgh in March as part of the European Erasmus Programme. They will both be working with Trisent Ltd and Edinburgh Napier University on Proof-of-Concept projects which demonstrate the benefits that internet users can gain from the use of consolidated personal data.
The students, both from the Basque region in the north of Spain, will be working on the project for three months and will be based on the Merchiston campus of Edinburgh Napier University. They have been studying computing and web technologies in Spain and during their project placements they will be building web-based technology demonstrators based on technology being developed by Trisent and Edinburgh Napier University.
Trisent is a Scottish start-up company that has been developing personal data consolidation technology enabling internet users to take control and ownership of their private data.
Once consolidated on the user-side, the data can be processed in ways that can benefit the user without exposing private information. Trisent has been working with Prof Bill Buchanan and his colleagues at Edinburgh Napier University on technology involving data security, machine learning, blockchain and improved internet search.
The Erasmus Programme (EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is a European Union (EU) student exchange programme that was established in 1987.
