BUCKIE residents are being encouraged to have their say on what the future looks like for their community.
Moray Council’s Community Support Unit will hold an event on Saturday 17 November, from 1 – 4pm at the Buckie Royal British Legion.
At the event they’ll be chatting to locals about the experiences and aspirations of the community, and identifying priorities for children and young people in the area.
Working with residents, a plan will be produced which outlines areas for improvement – with a focus on attainment and employability, as well as giving locals a greater voice in community affairs.
Findings from recent community engagement will be displayed, and there’s also free refreshments and a bouncy castle to keep the kids entertained.
The Community Support Unit will also be at the Portessie Public Hall Christmas Fair, on Saturday 24 November from 9.30am – noon, to give people a chance to take part in the discussion.
