STEVEN Walker, director of Corporate Development, is leaving STV, after seven years with the company.
As a result of the introduction of STV’s new divisional structure, confirmed as part of the company’s strategic review announced earlier this year, its corporate development functions are being embedded into divisional operating businesses. As a result of the new structure, the role of director of Corporate Development becomes redundant.
Steven joined STV in 2011 primarily tasked with growing the company’s local digital businesses, particularly through its online news services and the launch of the STV News app. Steven also played a pivotal role in the development of the STV Player.
Since 2015, he brought together STV’s creative, insights, marketing, data and consumer engagement functions to maximize reach and engagement across STV’sdigital and broadcast platforms.
In 2016, Steven also became managing director of STV External Lottery Manager Ltd, supporting the launch and operations of the Scottish Children’s Lottery, which has raised over £2.5 million for charitable causes.
