TOMORROW (Thursday 9 August), the Deputy First Minister, John Swinney MSP, will chair a significant meeting to review and confirm a series of significant pledges to increase the pace of change around Gaelic.
The event in Perth, which is being organised by Scottish Government and Bòrd na Gàidhlig, will involve many of Scotland’s public sector leaders.
It will explore ways in which to respond to the aims of the new National Gaelic Language Plan 2018-2023 which was launched in April, and it is expected a series of commitments will follow.
We will release a communiqué and free-to-use images following the meeting. These are expected to distributed to news desks around 1pm-1.30pm on Thursday.
