LEADING content business, STV Productions, has appointed Jim Regan as head of Daytime and Popular Factual to support its ambitious plans for domestic and international growth.
In the newly-created role, Jim will focus on developing new, returning shows and overseeing returning hit series, Antiques Road Trip, and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip; last year the BBC commissioned series 15 -18 of the former and an eighth series of the latter.
Jim joins the team from Remedy Productions, where he was head of Remedy Scotland, overseeing development projects and executive producing Fifteen to One for Channel 4. Prior to that, he was at FremantleMedia with a central role in the international team, tasked with creating successful entertainment and factual global brands.
Alan Clements, managing director of STV Productions, said: “I’m delighted about Jim joining the team. His creativity and skills will add further strength to the business and continue to secure commissions in the Daytime and Popular Factual genre.”
