THE NUJ, in partnership with BECTU, is to run an one-day leadership and management course at Glasgow Caledonian University on Saturday March 3rd.
This course is fully-funded by the Scottish Government through Scottish Union Learning and there is therefore no charge for attendance.
This course has been designed to challenge the poor management practices that are so prevalent in the film, television and newspaper industries, and covers positive approaches to people management; dealing with conflict and stress; and how to give and receive feedback in the workplace.
The tutors for the day are highly experienced in the fields of psychology and conflict resolution and the day is an excellent opportunity to receive high quality training at no cost.
It is useful for those in managerial positions but is also relevant to ordinary staff who want to learn how to make positive changes to workplace culture.
If you would like to book a place, please contact Catherine Deveney at cdev2112@aol.com, or phone her on 07712010878.
Travel and accommodation expenses are available for those travelling from the Highlands and Islands. Places are limited so please contact as soon as possible if you would like to attend.
