YOUNGSTERS can find out what it’s like to be a grown-up for the day.
An unique hands-on experience for kids has been created at intu Braehead where they can become a police officer, building worker, doctor, work in a restaurant or supermarket.
The free Mini City activities – at the shopping centre and in Soar at intu Braehead, between July 7 and 28 – allow youngsters to become adults and perform tasks from everyday life in an environment especially adapted for them.
Animators will be on hand to organise interactive role-play, giving youngsters an amazing insight into adulthood.
Hundreds of youngsters have already experienced working in a flower shop, beauty salon, supermarket, pizzeria, medical room, construction site and a Police Office,
Everyone taking part is given a Mini City clock-in card and ‘employees’ who visit all the workplace areas will be awarded a certificate and entered into a prize draw.
Marketing manager for intu Braehead, Christine Macdonald, said: “Children just love role playing, especially when they act the part of a grown-up.
“This is the first time Mini City has come to Scotland and it will give youngsters a real-life experience, instead of just having to imagine they’re in a shop or workplace.
“We can’t wait to see our mini doctors, builders and retail staff get to work at intu Braehead. It will keep them entertained for hours.”
The Mini City is part of intu’s national initiative to deliver an amazing summer of fun to shoppers right across the UK with a host of activities to keep everyone entertained.
