Bike Fyne: motorcycle safety event – at Loch Fyne Oysters, Cairndow, Argyll, PA26 8BL

LOCH Fyne Oysters is hosting the third Bike Fyne motorcycle safety event on Sunday May 7, between 10am and 4pm.

Ducati Glasgow will be headlining the event, which aims to reduce the number of accidents involving motorcyclists on the A83 by educating bikers through complimentary training sessions and demonstrations provided by representatives from the motorcycle industry.

Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in free emergency care training sessions, offered by BikerDown, and can learn to improve riding confidence and road skills through a variety of demonstrations.

The Institute of Advanced Motoring (IAM) will also be providing observed rides on a number of routes throughout stunning Argyllshire scenery.

Additionally, the British Horse Society, Scotservs, MARTYS and Scottish Air Ambulance will also be in attendance.

Martyn Paterson, divisional director and deputy managing director at Loch Fyne Oysters, said: “As a prominent business within Argyll, we are keen to raise awareness of the road safety issues surrounding the A83.

“We are delighted to be holding our third Bike Fyne event and look forward to building on last year’s success and welcoming bikers from across the UK to Loch Fyne.”

Ducati Glasgow added: “We heard about the success of the previous Bike Fyne events therefore wanted to get involved.

“We want Scotland’s bikers to have fun while riding safely, so this event is a great opportunity for anyone to increase their knowledge regarding motorcycle safety; what can be done to reduce accidents and what to do should an accident occur.

“There are a lot of passionate motorcycle enthusiasts in Scotland, everyone knows one and we would urge you all, biker or a friend of, to attend for a great day out.”
