THRIVING Survivors, a social enterprise established one year ago, has been granted charitable status by the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR).
The new charity has successfully run recovery courses for victims of trauma and is establishing a calendar of courses for 2017.
Susan Mallinder (pictured), recently-appointed chair of Thriving Survivors, said she was delighted that OSCR had formally approved the charitable status.
She added: “This marks an early milestone in the development of Thriving Survivors. There is a huge demand for our courses and services and formal recognition is vital in ensuring that we are able to keep developing to meet that demand.”
