DAILY Business is pleased to announce a number of additions to Scotland’s online news service as it marks another milestone.

Andy Crummey joins as commercial consultant to develop editorial partnership deals. He is a former sales and marketing director at STV with more than 30 years experience in the sector and was also head of Sales (Scotland) for SKY TV.

Paul Kiddie joins as news and sports reporter. He is a widely-respected journalist with more than 30 years experience. His career began at the Dundee HQ of DC Thomson & Co Ltd. and he later spent a decade at the Edinburgh Evening News. He was head of Media and Public Relations at Heart of Midlothian FC.

Pauline Taylor, becomes arts and lifestyle writer. She has contributed to a number of publications, including The Sunday Times and the local press. She contributed to last year’s Edinburgh Festival reviews and writes mainly on music, theatre, food and drink.

Terry Murden, Daily Business editor and director, said: “Daily Business goes from strength to strength with our focus on informed and breaking news.

“Daily Business views the world of business, politics, leisure and sport from a Scottish perspective and has evoked fond memories of the short-lived Business AM financial newspaper which was based in Edinburgh from September 2000 to December 2002.

“Daily Business launched in November 2014 so we have now been around a little longer!

“We are delighted with support from advertisers and partners which helps sustain an independent media at a time when journalism is facing severe financial pressures.

“Andy will be helping to build these partnerships and engage more companies in the Daily Business project.

“We are also grateful to those who have contributed to our fund-raising campaign.”

There are numerous ways to get involved with Daily Business and reach a readership mainly based in Scotland.

We have c.70-80,000 page views per month and offer a range of services from editorial partnerships to photography and web content.

The Daily Business email bulletin of breaking news headlines, delivered daily to subscribers, also provides advertising/sponsorship options.

Please note that, from 10 February, the Daily Business fixed telephone line 0131 554 0630 will be discontinued as a result of relocation into central Edinburgh.

Daily Business operates mainly on a virtual basis but now also has office facilities in Atholl Crescent, Edinburgh.

Andy can be contacted on 07788 560973, Paul on 07852 988828 and Pauline on 07833 532378.
