IT is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of three new members to the board of directors of Goodfellows of Dundee Ltd, which trades as Goodfellow and Steven.
These new directors have all been with the company for a considerable time and it was felt that their appointment to the board more accurately reflects their not only day-to-day responsibilities but also the greater strategic role that they will now play in ensuring the ongoing success of the company.
Jacqui Souter has been with the company for some 27 years and is in control of our shops estate comprising 19 of our own shops and 37 Scotmids. Jacqui will take up the role of retail director.
Laura Ross FCCA is currently company secretary and accountant for all companies within the group and now extends her role to become financial director of Goodfellows of Dundee Ltd. Laura has been with the company for ten years.
Robert Sinclair has been in charge of our production facility for some 11 years and now becomes production director. He brings to the role over 30 years bakery experience and is determined to work with his team to continue to provide the very best possible products to not only the very many customers who have loyally supported us over the years but also to new customers and new markets both retail and wholesale.
These appointments reflect the confidence the company has in its future and the determination to build on the considerable success that it has enjoyed since its foundation by David Goodfellow and Margaret Steven in 1897.
