PERTH city centre got into the Christmas spirit this wekeend with a star-studded light switch-on ceremony, but Murrays’ World Champion Scotch Pies stole the show as the temperature dropped.
Celebrating 115 in business this year, Murray’s were proud to support the big switch-on which saw rapper, Professor Green, X Factor super star, Fleur East, and 1990’s pop sensations, East 17, playing on the outdoor stages.
And Linda Hill of Murray’s was on hand with her warm smile and a tray of even warmer award-winning Scotch Pies.
“I am so proud to have been able to keep our stable of stars warm and fed ahead of the big ceremony today,” said Linda.
“The lads from East 17 were particuarly keen to follow in Les McKeown’s footsetps and tuck into a pie.
“They were desperate to sample them after the meet-and-greet sessions with their fans and they said the pies warmed them up a treat before playing in the wintry evening in front of a large crowd gathered to listen to belt out some tunes of old.”
