MEAT Trades Journal, which organises the annual Butcher’s Shop of the Year Awards, has announced that S Collins & Son – of Muirhead, Glasgow – is a finalist in the Scottish Butcher’s Shop of the Year category.
“Celebrated and revered. Premier league. Coveted. Hard won. Deserved. A huge team effort.”
These are apt words often used to describe the annual Butcher’s Shop of the Year Awards.
These aren’t our words – they are comments made about the tremendous shops and businesses that have won in recent years.
“Since winning the coveted award in 2012, we’ve been in the finals and have come so close so many times,” said Stewart Collins, of S Collins & Sons.
“However, we really feel that it is our year again!

The winners will be announced on Monday 7th November at the iconic Banking Hall in the City of London.
