LUATH Press publishes political and current affairs books by key opinion formers (as well as all things Scottish).
Over the past few years, and especially in light of the recent referendums, writers in its Viewpoints series have energised public debate.
ScotlandsFest 2016 gathers leading commentators, academics and journalists for a week-long series of talks, discussions and debates.
This year, the line-up includes a large number politically orientated discussions of a range of issues facing modern Scotland, such as Trident and the potential effects of Brexit.
Speakers at ScotlandsFest include David Torrance, Henry McLeish, Owen Dudley Edwards, Lesley Riddoch, Gerry Hassan, Alyn Smith (MEP), Rab Wilson, the Roch Winds Collective; Cailean Gallagher, Rory Scothorne and Amy Westwell, and many more.
Full details of all the events, as well as tickets, can be found at http://www.luath.co.uk/scotlandsfest. Tickets can also be bought from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Website.
Tickets cost £5 per event (£3 concession), day passes cost £10 (£7 concession), and week passes can be purchased for £30 (£25 concession).
The aim of ScotlandsFest 2016 is to encourage big thinking in a small country. Expect the unexpected.
