VISITORS to Soar intu Braehead’s leisure destination won’t miss a minute of the big sporting action this summer.
All the drama from the football at Euro 2016, golf at The Open Championship to the Tour de France cycling race and Andy Murray’s bid to win Wimbledon again will be shown on a big TV screen in the central atrium.
A special Summer Sports Garden has been created with seating for visitors to watch the sporting action as it unfolds.
And staff got warmed up for the feast of sport by trying their hand at tennis with a giant racket from the David Lloyd Club, in Renfrew, a kickabout with an oversized football, golf and cycling.
The Summer Sports Garden in Soar intu Braehead opens on Wednesday, June 15 until July 10 during normal opening hours.
Marketing manager for intu Braehead, Christine Macdonald, said: “It’s definitely game on for everyone at Soar intu Braehead this summer.
“We’re making sure no one misses out on all the excitement and action from the big sports events in the coming weeks.
“We’ve created our own special place for sports fans with our Summer Sports Garden and there’ll be a great atmosphere with everyone coming together watching their favourite sporting stars in action.
“And if sport is not your thing there are plenty of summer fashions to explore just across the road at the intu Braehead shopping centre.”
