A WELL-known Aberdeen facility offering care for the elderly has marked another refurbishment milestone.
Deeside Care Home, in Cults, is currently the focus of a rolling programme of investment which has, to date, exceeded £3 million.
In the latest part of the project, owners, Deeside Care LLP, secured the services of local tradespeople to complete the £150,000 upgrading of another eight bedrooms to ensure a high standard of living environment throughout the facility.
The suburban facility has already been transformed into a luxurious location featuring 68 beds spread across three floors.
Phase one was completed last year and saw the rejuvenation of residents’ lounges, dining rooms and bedrooms followed by a second phase which included the creation of a stunning new entrance atrium, spa, cinema, hair salon, therapy room and café/bar.
The makeover was celebrated with a special event for staff, residents, families and special guests when Professor Ian Murray, head of school, School of Nursing and Midwifery at The Robert Gordon University, performed the official reopening of the venue.
Commenting on the project, Deeside Care LLP director, Manpreet Johal, said: “Across Aberdeen, we have invested more than £22 million in breathing new life into well-known care facilities and we now look forward to further phases of this significant project.
“Our priority is the creation of the right living environment for residents and we strive to ensure safe, luxurious, ‘home-from home’ surroundings at all our locations.”
