AN Aberdeen hair and beauty salon is celebrating after being awarded a prestigious accolade by The Look Awards 2016.
Linton & Mac, which is based in Aberdeen’s Netherkirkgate, was presented with the One To Watch award at The Look Awards ceremony held in The Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow, on Sunday 15 May.
The specialised award identifies a rising star of the industry that is set for success, and was presented to Linton & Mac in recognition of the salon’s successful launch and its high-quality bespoke offering.
Since launching in September 2015, the salon has been making waves in the hair and beauty industry, collaborating with big names, including top London hairdresser, Sophia Hilton, Alan and Reece Beake from Ruger Barber, as well as high profile Windle & Moodie professionals, to host special events and workshops in the North-east.
Salon directors, Jennifer Linton and Joanna (Jaye) Macdonald, have also worked hard to bring a new concept to Aberdeen and ensure that they are at the forefront of industry trends.
A large part of this has been staff development, encouraging staff to push creative boundaries and participate in educational seminars to help enhance the Linton & Mac customer experience.
The salon now has more than 2,500 clients visiting from around Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Jennifer Linton said: “Keeping clients excited about the salon is vital to us and so we are continually developing new ideas and services to add to our offering.
“This often includes educating the customer through demonstrations and tutorials so that they can take something valuable away from the salon in addition to their new hairstyle or beauty products. For us, it’s about enhancing the whole customer experience.
“Having big industry names visit our salon has also been a great accomplishment for us and has helped us to stand out amongst our competitors. The future is very exciting for us and I’m sure our clients won’t be disappointed!”
Linton & Mac has also been shortlisted for the Most Promising New Business for the Elevator Awards, Best in Aberdeen New Business for the Aberdeen Business Awards, and Best New Business and Excellence in Hairdressing for Trend’s Life of Style Awards.
