CONSTRUCTION and fit-out company, Pacific Building, have reported a 54 per cent year-on-year increase in turnover, to £13.25million.
The firm, who have an impressive list of big-name clients, saw takings rise from £8.63million in the 12 months to March this year.
And with a bulging order book for 2016 into 2017, the firm, who employ 35 people and are based in Hillington, on the outskirts of Glasgow, are on track for a eighth successive year of growth.
Operating profits for the year also rose – by 139 per cent – prompting Pacific Building managing director, Brian Gallagher, to say: “We are delighted to have put in such an outstanding performance but maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised, because we have steadily increased turnover every year since our inception in 2005.
“We have a team of the utmost professionals, who are used to meeting challenges head-on and solving them in innovative ways that satisfy our clients.
“We have enjoyed continued growth, in part through our associations with global brands who continue to develop their business.
“By continually meeting and exceeding their expectations, we are rewarded with greater volumes of work. Our growth has continued to exceed our budgeted plans and is a credit to the efforts of the team here.”
The past year has seen Pacific complete projects for a prestigious client list that includes burger giants McDonald’s, supermarket chain Tesco, restaurant and bar operators Mitchells & Butlers and Glasgow International Airport.
Pacific have an enviable and growing reputation as a company who are able to deliver complex refurbishments in ‘live’ public areas such as airports, hotels, restaurants, pubs and offices – right across the UK – on time and within budget.
Mr Gallacher added: “One of our key strengths is our ability to protect businesses from unnecessary disruption during construction and fit-out.”
Pacific’s relationship with Glasgow Airport is enhanced by the fact that many of their team hold airside passes, which means they have the experience and requisite clearance to work in airports – in airside, landside and aircraft-manoeuvring areas. Furthermore, they have an office adjacent to the perimeter at Glasgow Airport.
