SBP Accountants and Business Advisers has bolstered its team at its Aberdeen headquarters to support the company’s growing client base.
The firm has appointed Arlene Barnes as administration assistant at its Carden Place premises.
The firm, which also has offices in Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banff, tripled its Aberdeen customer base following its merger with Andrew Philip in 2015, and works with a number of high-profile North-east based businesses, including a number of oil and gas clients.
In the past year, staff numbers at the city base have grown to 13 employees, resulting in SBP’s six-partner practice increasing staff numbers to 40, and Miss Barnes, 22, will support staff with a range of client administration work.
In her role with SBP, she will be responsible for assisting with various duties including invoices, company formations and billing clients.
Miss Barnes said: “The Aberdeen office of SBP is extremely busy, which means that every day is different. As the company has a mixture of clients, my role is extremely varied and I am enjoying my time with the firm.”
Managing partner of SBP, John Hannah, added: “2016 has continued to be a busy year for the business across the North-east, and our operations in Aberdeen have continued to grow.
“Arlene will play an instrumental role in supporting staff as our client list expands, and her organisational and management skills are vital in helping with the smooth running of the office.”
SBP offers a variety of business and accountancy services, including personal and business taxation, as well as a dedicated business services department to cover everything including bookkeeping, VAT and payroll requirements.
