A LEADING oil and gas services company will outline a new technology which is poised to bring a step change to the testing and verification of deluge and fire suppression systems during an event in Aberdeen this month.
Aberdeenshire-based Paradigm Flow Services will take part in the inaugural conference programme of Topsides UK 2016 at Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre to present the company’s Dry-Flo technology.
Says a spokesperson: “Dry-Flo is a DNV qualified technical solution which provides a genuine alternative to the conventional method of ‘wet’ testing offshore deluge systems.
“Dry-Flo was realised by close co-operation with leading academic partners, key clients, verification bodies and Paradigm’s own engineering team.
“Dry-Flo has proven advantages over the traditional method and offers a significant upside in terms of direct cost and impact to long term asset integrity.
“It allows personnel to de-mobilise from the asset quicker through faster set-up rates and the ability for a reading to be taken in seconds.
“In addition, Dry-Flo eliminates the need to cover and protect electrical equipment or disable gas heads which further speeds up the testing procedure.
“The equipment is fully certified for all hazardous zoned areas and can be safely used while the deluge system is live and without interruption to steady state operations.
“This true method of dry testing will eliminate the risk of accidental plant shutdown due to seawater ingress and minimise any potential impact on production whilst providing empirical and verifiable evidence that deluge systems are compliant.”
The presentation on March 17th will be delivered by Paradigm Flow Services managing director, Rob Bain, who spent more than two decades working in front line operations and projects as a senior manager with international oil and gas operators.
Rob has been at the forefront of Paradigm Flow Services’ growth and international expansion over the last seven years.
