VENUESLANARKSHIRE will be demonstrating why the region is considered Scotland’s hidden gem for corporate venues – at the fifth annual Lanarkshire Business Week which runs from 29 February to 4 March 2016.
Lanarkshire is packed with a world of choice for meeting and conference facilities and the VenuesLanarkshire website hosts information on the best venues available; from the 18th century New Lanark Mill hotel situated in an UNESCO World Heritage site, to a marquee at the finish line at Hamilton Park Racecourse and the VisitScotland five-star former hunting lodge at Chatelherault Country Park.
Each venue listed has extensive experience in hosting conferences, meetings or team building events and is located close to air and rail links, with easy access from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
VenuesLanarkshire will have a stand at the Lanarkshire Business Show on Thursday 3 March at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.
The event, which is part of Lanarkshire Business Week, is one of the biggest B2B events in Scotland.
The team behind the VenuesLanarkshire website will be on hand to explain the benefits of hosting meetings in Lanarkshire as well as showing off the diverse range of available venues and the features of booking via the website including a venue map which shows bookers their closest venue.
As well as the Lanarkshire Business Show, this year’s Lanarkshire Business Week which is expected to attract 1,500 people, will feature workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities for companies looking to expand their enterprise.
The week culminates with a glitzy award ceremony hosted by TV personality, Kaye Adams, on 4 March at Radstone Hotel in Larkhall.
The sold-out event will see around 400 guests come together to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of the region.
Businesses of all sizes will be recognised with categories ranging from Family Business Award, Best New Business and Excellence in Customer Service.
The John Brinkins Award for Excellence in Tourism has been sponsored by VenuesLanarkshire’s partner website, BeLanarkshire, a free online customer service training programme which aims to promote the highest standards of service.
Chair of the Lanarkshire Area Tourism Partnership, Mark Calpin, said: “We want Lanarkshire to be one of Scotland’s hot spots for corporate meetings, events and team building days.
“We have proved that Lanarkshire itself is a world class destination after hosting events such as the Commonwealth Games triathlon at Strathclyde Country Park and the Pearl Izumi Tour Series in Motherwell and we are looking forward to demonstrating the wide range of venues we have available at the Lanarkshire Business Show.”
