COMPETENCE assurance specialists, Maggie Braid Associates (MBA), have added to their portfolio of training recently, introducing two new courses specifically aimed at qualified assessors and verifiers.
The MBA SQA 9Di Assessor Refresher Course is a half-day course and is aimed at all qualified assessors, including those who may not have been very actively involved in assessing for some time. It will bring all assessors up to date with current best assessment practice and serves as an excellent CPD opportunity.
The MBA SQA 9DI & L&D11 Standardisation Course is also a half-day course, again aimed at all qualified Assessors along with qualified Verifiers as well. The course will cover current best Quality Assurance practice including standardization activities, interim and summative quality assurance and current QA principles.
Says a spokesperson: “These new courses are as a result of the recent changes in the oil and gas industry where perhaps the need for competence assurance and employing best practices is now of heightened importance.
“Streamlining staff and cutting costs should not mean higher risk or lower standards.”
MBA’s Refresher and Standardisation courses have been designed to strengthen the industry by offering trained assessors and verifiers the chance to perform at their best with some up-to-date training.
