A WELL-known care facility in an Aberdeen suburb has celebrated the completion of extensive refurbishment work with a special event.
Deeside Care Home (formerly known as Rowan Court Care Home) in Cults has recently been transformed thanks to a £3 million programme of investment by owners, Deeside Care LLP.
Rejuvenation at the 68-bedroom facility has included refreshed residents’ lounges, dining rooms and bedrooms including four new rooms which seek to provide individual living space.
In addition is the creation of a stunning new entrance atrium, spa, library, cinema, hair salon, therapy room and café/bar.
The completion of the project was recently marked with a special event for staff, residents, families and special guests when Professor Ian Murray, head of school, School of Nursing and Midwifery at The Robert Gordon University performed the official reopening of the venue.
Professor Murray said: “I was delighted to officially open Deeside Care Home which provides a high quality caring environment where residents can maintain their independence and benefit from excellent standards of care provided by dedicated, well trained staff.”
Deeside Care Home director, Paul Beaumont, added: “Driving up standards in the care sector lies at the heart of our company ethos and we were delighted to share the completion of this significant project with residents and visitors alike.”
