ABERDEEN-based Aiken Group has made a festive donation to the work of local charity, North East Sensory Services (NESS).
In what has become an annual tradition for the company, £500 has been gifted to the charity in lieu of sending Christmas cards to corporate clients, friends and associates.
Aiken Group is a leading multi-discipline company specialising in accommodation upgrades, refurbishments and new-builds worldwide and its global headquarters are located close to Aberdeen Harbour at Torry.
Commenting on the donation, Aiken Group managing director, Danny Donald, said: “NESS supports people with sight and hearing loss in many different ways and we are delighted to make a contribution to the support they give thousands of people throughout the region.”
Neil Skene, NESS fundraising coordinator, added: “We are extremely grateful to Aiken Group for this kind donation, which comes at a difficult time for businesses and charities in Aberdeen.
“The funds will go towards supporting our work and projects such as the young person’s sensory service and Connect, Inform, Support, our group for elderly people with a visual or hearing impairment.”
