A MAJOR showcase celebrating the diversity of the North-east business community has marked its milestone fifth year in Aberdeen.
Granite Expo attracted more than 100 business organisations to the city’s Hilton Treetops Hotel on Thursday, October 29th for the unique annual event which celebrates businesses of all shapes and sizes, from many sectors, from locally-based SMEs to global operators with links to the region.
The free event, created by Granite PR and managed by Business Plus Scotland, event offered a giant day of exhibiting, cross-selling, networking and knowledge sharing as well as business seminars, and a prize draw.
The competition for the best stand on the day, judged by Gary Craig of Aberdeen Inspired, was won by Aberdeen Chiropractic Clinic with Inverurie’s Fennel Media in second place at Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier in third place.
This year’s event was officially opened by DC Thomson and Co. Ltd. commercial director, Denise West, who commented: “In this rapidly-changing world, where technology is changing the way we market our products and services, it’s great to remember that face-to-face ‘show and tells’ will always be fruitful.
“The fifth Granite Expo give all of us in business – small, medium or large, the opportunity to do just that.”
