- Bauer continues to strengthen its creative and commercial offerings -
BAUER Media Group has announced another addition to its growing creative team by appointing Mark Devlin as head of creative at Radio Forth.
The announcement follows the recent appointments of John-Paul Hughes as group head of creative across Bauer’s City Network and Graeme McKellar to head of creative at Clyde.
Devlin heads up Radio Forth’s creative team having joined from Communicorp Manchester’s Smooth North West where he was creative account director. Prior to this, he worked for a number of large radio organisations, including Global and Liverpool-based Juice.
Devlin will be responsible for augmenting the success of Forth’s creative offering by spearheading the team and devising effective advertising campaigns across multiple platforms for clients.
Commenting on his appointment, Mark Devlin said: “It’s fantastic to be offered this position and to be a part of such a strong team.
“I’ve worked in creative advertising for a number of years delivering campaigns for regional and national audiences, across both traditional and digital channels.
“On a day-to-day basis, I will work closely with clients to tease out business objectives and create bespoke advertising campaigns to help them achieve their business goals.
“At Radio Forth, we provide a full service to our clients, working with them from campaign inception through to implementation across radio, print, online and elsewhere. Our expertise will help clients to explore the multitude of advertising opportunities available to them.”
An English Literature and History graduate from the University of Glasgow, Devlin has been working in advertising since graduating.
Devlin said: “I’ve always loved advertising. As a child, I can remember being fascinated by adverts. I didn’t know creating them could be a career until I left university.
“At that time, there were no courses on advertising in higher education. Being able to come up with creative campaigns which make an impact and ultimately help our clients increase their revenue is a truly satisfying feeling.”
Announcing his appointment, John-Paul Hughes, group head of creative, Bauer City Network said: “Firstly, on behalf of the whole team, we offer our congratulations to Mark on his appointment and welcome him to the Bauer family. The knowledge he has accumulated to date will be a big asset to Radio Forth.
“We are investing strongly in our creative offering here at Bauer City Networks, ensuring we are consistently amplifying our creative and commercial offerings.
“This latest appointment demonstrates once again our over-arching aim to provide our clients with holistic cross-media creative expertise.
“We produce memorable campaigns across traditional radio, TV and print advertising, as well as in both the digital and real world. All this is provided under one roof by our strong creative team. We are dedicated to ensuring we deliver the best possible creative campaigns for our clients.”
Radio Forth’s offering extends across Forth 1, Forth 2 and Forth 3 catering to audiences of all ages. Forth 1 brings listeners all the top tracks from the current charts, Forth 2 delights listeners with golden oldies, whilst Forth 3 plays the freshest music.
Across its stations, Radio Forth keeps its Edinburgh and the East listeners up to date with local news, great chat and the best hits.
