A LEADING international reservoir engineering and business management consultancy, which is based in Aberdeen and Houston, will be sharing its expertise during two specialist seminars taking place next week.
Staff from Oilgen, which provides technical and business management services using its core historical expertise in reservoir engineering, will be giving presentationsduring the European Reservoir Simulation Technology seminars being hosted by the Computer Modelling Group (CMG) at the Hampshire Hotel in the Hague on Tuesday 3 November, and the Copthorne Hotel in Aberdeen on Wednesday 4 November.
CMG, which is a global leader in reservoir simulation software, is holding the events to give experts the opportunity to discuss the latest trends and advancements in European reservoir simulation technology.
The seminars will include talks from experienced CMG users who will share their own best practices using CMG’s reservoir simulation technology.
CMG will also present the recent advances and superior physics being applied to a variety of recovery processes, including black oil simulation, low salinity waterflooding and chemical EOR.
Oilgen managing director, Laurent Schirrer, will be giving a talk to CMG members in The Hague, and staff reservoir engineer, Ismail Labed, will be giving a presentation in Aberdeen. They will share their extensive knowledge about fault management in reservoir simulation models during their presentations entitled Advanced Fault Management for Complex History Matching Situations in CMG.
Mr Schirrer, said: “At Oilgen, CMG software is an essential tool during our work on reservoir simulation models, and the seminars are an ideal way for users to learn about new ways of maximising resources and increasing efficiency through simulation.
“The events also give experts the chance to network, and share their expertise and industry knowledge.”
Oilgen’s reservoir engineering services extends to fractured, chemical, compositional reservoir engineering; enhanced oil recovery (EOR); well production optimisation; integrated asset modelling; and artificial lift optimisation.
