VIRIDOR has been shortlisted for a string of Scottish awards nominations at two industry-leading conferences.
The business has been shortlisted for the ‘Circular Economy Award’ at the Scottish Government-backed Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) Awards.
Says a spokesperson: “Now in its 16th year, the prestigious VIBES Awards recognise the commitment, actions and achievements of Scottish companies working hard to reduce their impact on the environment.”
The business has also been shortlisted for three awards at Scottish Government, Zero Waste Scotland and Chartered Institution of Waste Management the Scottish Government backed Scottish Resources Conference 2015.
Viridor’s £25m glass recycling facility at Newhouse, Lanarkshire – recently opened by Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Environment, Richard Lochhead MSP – is shortlisted as ‘Best Private Sector Initiative’ award whilst the company’s Colin Paterson and Martin Grey have been shortlisted for ‘Outstanding Contribution’ and ‘Rising Star of the Year’ awards respectively.
