A LEADING North-east accountancy firm has added to its expert team to strengthen its services.
SBP accountants and business advisers, has recruited Rory McCann as an ICAS trainee accountant to support the firm’s growing number of clients at its new Aberdeen headquarters based in the city’s Carden Place.
The firm, which also has offices in Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banff has seen its Aberdeen client base triple following the recent acquisition of Andrew Philip Chartered Accountants earlier this year.
Mr McCann, 26, originally from Northern Ireland, has been studying and working in Glasgow for the past seven years.
Before joining SBP, Mr McCann worked at French Duncan LLP in Glasgow as a trainee accountant, where he carried out audits for clients across the central belt, and also worked in the personal tax department.
He will use his experience in his new role to carry out a range of duties for clients, which includes a number of high profile North-east based businesses and oil and gas companies.
He said: “I am enjoying the increased autonomy and varied nature of my workload. The refurbishment of the company’s new headquarters also creates an excellent working environment.”
SBP managing partner, John Hannah, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rory to the team here at SBP.
“Rory has good experience in the sector following his time working in the central belt. His appointment is key to the company as we continue to build on our services across the North-east.”
SBP offers a variety of business and accountancy services, including personal and business taxation, as well as a dedicated business services department to cover everything including bookkeeping, VAT and payroll requirements.
