ABERDEEN-based global competence specialists, MBA, have recently secured the bronze award in the Scottish Healthy Working Lives (SCHWL) Award Programme.
An initiative which seeks to create a healthier work environment, HWL supports employers and employees to develop health promotion and safety themes in the workplace in a practical, logical way, that’s beneficial to all.
To secure the award, MBA formed an HWL task group who took on the responsibility of providing the evidence to show the progression of MBA and how the company met the criterion impact for each level of the award.
“We are all very pleased at MBA to have achieved this award and give massive praise to the MBA HWL task group who really embraced the challenge and worked hard with the entire MBA team”, commented Maggie Braid, director and founder of MBA.
Several campaigns were initiated by the MBA HWL task group over the past few months such as poster displaying, consultations with staff on health and safety, tighter controls on the recording of any accidents as well as the carrying out of risk assessments.
“Ultimately, the MBA HWL task group were able to ensure staff awareness within MBA of occupational health, safety and wellbeing topics had been well and truly raised”, concluded Maggie.
