Get in the festive spirit at the Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair
THE Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair is back at SECC, Glasgow, from 19 – 22 November 2015.
This annual celebration of all things festive, viewed as the official start of Christmas by many loyal visitors, is a must for anyone who enjoys a great day’s shopping.
Last year’s show attracted a record breaking 19,494 visitors, an increase of eight per cent on 2013.
Over 300 of the UK’s finest craftsmen and women will gather together under one roof to offer unique gifts, decorations, crafts, food and inspired interior ideas, to help bring that magical Christmas sparkle to every home.
Visitors can source beautiful decorations and original gifts from gorgeous garlands and beautiful baubles, to glassware, scented candles and stylish cards. Arts and craft lovers can pick up haberdashery, ribbons, fabrics, sewing kits and craft essentials – everything required to get seriously creative this Christmas.
For the foodies the temptations and treats are endless from the exclusive collection of food exhibitors supplying authentic regional delicacies such as gourmet sausages and hams, local cheeses and pâté, Christmas cakes, puddings and chocolates, to create a delicious festive deli.
This is the ideal place to find that elusive Christmas outfit with a stunning collection of evening and designer daywear available, as well as unique accessories including bags, purses and jewellery. There will be gifts galore for the kids including handmade traditional wooden toys, beautifully-made soft toys, chunky knitwear, cosy pyjamas, pretty party dresses, bright wellies and hundreds of other items ready to be wrapped and placed under the tree this Christmas. And there will be some funky socks for dad.
The Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair is more than an exclusive shopping experience. There are lots of things to do and try with free entry to three informative theatres where experts will offer invaluable advice and entertaining demonstrations.
- The sights and smells of the Cookery Theatre will delight and inspire as top Scottish chefs demonstrate preparing tempting seasonal dishes, using delicious, fresh ingredients. Visitors can pick up professional tips to help them create the perfect festive feast.
- The Christmas Theatre experts will offer advice on how to make the most of your home over the festive period, with a series of talks and demonstrations including designing unique table settings and creating home-made goodies for a Christmas hamper. There will also be gift-wrapping demos tackling the most awkward shaped gifts.
- Over in the Craft and Create Room hands-on workshops will be held where visitors can work alongside expert knitters, stitchers and upcyclers to create their own festive masterpiece. This is the perfect place to pick up a new skill or hobby.

About Country Living Fairs
The Country Living Fair began nearly 30 years ago with a spring edition in London, and soon afterwards, a Christmas edition was launched. In 2004, a spring edition was launched in Glasgow, which was changed to a Christmas fair in 2008.
The Glasgow show has grown significantly since its inception and now boasts over 300 exhibitors, and attracted over 19,000 visitors in 2015. The Fair showcases new and upcoming talent, providing craftspeople with a platform to showcase their goods to high-spending visitors, who travel from all over the country to visit. Visitors can choose from a selection of home and garden ware, arts and crafts, regional food and drink, and the latest fashion and accessories.
Case studies and photography
Various exhibitor case studies and photography are available on request.
