THE Cumnock Chronicle is looking for a talented trainee reporter to play an important role within its team of journalists based at our office in Ardrossan.
Applicants must have undergone NCTJ pre-entry training or equivalent, have a great news sense, good writing ability, speed and accuracy, the confidence to work under pressure and the desire and hunger to find their own exclusive stories.
Applicants should have a strong record of work experience, a passion for the job and an awareness of the circulation area. A driving license is essential as you will be required to be out in the community covering the circulation area.
They should also show a willingness to learn new techniques and develop their skills as a multimedia reporter in an ever-changing media landscape, with a keen awareness of how best to use the paper’s growing digital media platforms in relation to the core print product.
